Worship Leadership & Experience Portfolio

This page offers a glimpse into how I lead worship. I began leading worship on Sundays by standing alone — singing and playing keys for college and youth ministry — learning how to carry space musically, shape dynamics, and lead with intention without the support of a full band.

In a New York City church context, I later served by building and developing worship teams within college and youth ministry settings.

Leading on both vocals and keys has become a natural posture for me, allowing for clear musical direction, thoughtful communication, and connection with both the team and the congregation.

I approach each worship set with intentionality and spiritual readiness, guided by the mindset in Ephesians 6:13–20* — putting on the full armor of God to stand firm, lead with clarity, and protect the focus of worship. This perspective shapes how I prepare, communicate, and guide both the team and the congregation, ensuring that every moment points hearts toward Him.

*Ephesians 6:13-20

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Worship Leadership - Live Set

May 31st, 2025  |  Led on vocals

Flow, a worship dance ministry, invited me to lead worship for their worship night in Queens, NY. I prepared the set arrangement based on their audience and musical repertoire, shaping the flow of the night to support both the dancers and the congregation. I worked with a newly formed team of musicians, each bringing their own church experience, and led rehearsals and live direction to create a unified worship set.

Conceptual Worship Direction - Christmas Opening

This concept imagines opening a Christmas service with a sense of anticipation and awe. A group of children would sing “Little Drummer Boy” through a prerecorded track, entering from the back of the sanctuary and moving toward the front as the song builds. The goal is to reflect the wonder and urgency of the Christmas story — sharing the news of Jesus’ birth through both sound and movement.

From a leadership standpoint, this would involve coordinating children’s rehearsals, preparing playback and transitions in Ableton, and aligning with the band, production, and pastoral team to ensure timing, clarity, and congregational readiness.

Little Drummer Boy Lyrics

Come, they told me, pa rum pum pum pum

A newborn King to see, pa rum pum pum pum

Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum

To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum

Rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum.
